Get Social With Us

3 daily habits that increase my productivity

Each day is for me about enjoying what I do. This is why I try to make space for the habits that give me energy having same time,  free time to deal with major strategic decisions in my business line.

Staying informed is a constant struggle for most of us, no matter the position we occupy. We have the emails coming towards us, we have social media buzzing into our life. But is important when you get to deal with people to be informed. Each day I start by reading the newspapers to make sure I am aware of what is happening in the world and in my city or in my region.  I prefer the financial magazines but that is my personal taste in reading.

Acts of kindness are incredibly important in work relationships also.  I try to nurture an internal culture of collaboration, reward and recognition. In my business line  I encourage people to be kind and do nice gestures without looking for something in return.

Besides this I keep an open agenda, I never fill my agenda 100%, I keep a 20% open agenda – time that I can use in talking with employees, visiting work spaces or dealing sometimes with urgent matters.

But I never forget to relax. I like to take brakes. Taking breaks increases our work productivity and gives us a chance to refocus.

For some people, this could be some physical activity or eating a healthy snack. For others, it could be meditating or socializing (but NOT on social media). For me is coffee brake while socializing.

So the next time you feel unproductive, stop what you’re doing and think about recharging yourself! Apply these productivity tips and get ready to be efficient, not busy!
